- Tenders are invited for Training Community Adaptation and Action Planning (CAAP) Development For Somali Joint Response Member and Partners Organization Staff - Somaliland/Somalia The main purpose of the assignment is to provide Gender-sensitive Climate Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment G-CVCA hands-on training to SOMJR project staff. The training shall cover all the process including development/selection of data collection tools, conducting assessment, data analysis, results validation, report writing and development of sample of community action adaptation plans (CAAPs). It is expected that the trained staff will capacitated in using G-CVCA tool under the supervision of the consultant. The specific objectives of the Assignment are: 1. Provide the participants with technical guidance in the G-CVCA implementation process and application of the different risk, vulnerability and capacity assessment tools. 2. Develop innovative strategies to enhance participation of the people with disabilities in economic and civic life. The innovative strategies will constitute part of the action plan (CAAP) that will be developed after G-CVCA. The G-CVCA and CAAPs will cover one villages to be practically done by the consultant and partners staff as a demo site and this will be followed by individual partner-s staff CAAPs development in their respective program villages. The scope of work for the consultant(s) shall include: conducting hands-on training on G-CVCA; analyzing the communities- and households- vulnerability to climate change including issues of disability; assessing community-s- and households- adaptive capacity to adapt to climate change and to build resilience to disasters; assessing community knowledge on climate change and issues of inclusion as a complement to scientific data to achieve greater understanding of the local impacts of climate change on different groups in a community (men, women, boys and girls including people with disabilities), developing CAAPs that take care of challenges people with disabilities and other marginalized groups face, and reviewing and validating G-CVCA and CAAP findings with SOMJR staff. 1.
