- The United Nations intends to engage the services of a qualified vendor for the provision of solid waste management and wastewater management services In Somalia.The scope will include the following requirements:LOT 1 - Solid Waste Management:a. Waste Management Yard Operations: Care, custody, and operation of the established UNSOS-provided equipment. b. Hard Waste Program: As part of the management of the hard waste program, the contractor shall pick up waste from various defined waste collection points/locations.c. Recycling Program: Support and execute the Mission-s recycling program by recycling to include at a minimum among others; cardboard and paper plastics, metal (tin cans) glass, scrap wood, and food waste for composting. d. Hazardous Waste: The management and correct disposal action of biohazardous and hazardous waste including medical waste.e.
