The study will cover 3 areas: 1 Product Design preparation for Somalia's Mudug Region; 2 Determination of Unit Areas of Insurance; 3 Scenario Analysis on payout and costing. A further outcome of the study should be better understanding of the insurance concept by pastoral communities and private sector interested to start offering the insurance products. Based upon pre-feasibility study carried out for the implementation of a satellite-based drought insurance in Somalia, as part of the drought risk financing and insurnce solutions.
