- Tenders are invited for Consultancy for Logistics Management Information System (LMIS) Digitalization. Action Against Hunger has responded to humanitarian crisis in Somalia for since 1992, meeting urgent humanitarian and development needs of women, girls, boys, and men across the country. Current humanitarian activities cover gender sensitive Nutrition, WASH, Health, and Food Security and Livelihoods in Banadir, Lower Shabelle, Bakool and Bay regions. ACF has been a successful in the delivery of Health and nutrition services (both treatment and prevention) by combining emergency health service provision and health systems strengthening. Similarly, it is intended to provide transitional support towards achieving longer-term development goals such as preventing malnutrition, strengthening Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) and active case finding at community level through routine screening by CHWs as well as Mother led MUAC initiative. Action Against Hunger leads Caafimaad Plus consortium in south central Somalia supporting the implementation of quality Nutrition and Health services along with Concern Worldwide, International Medical Corps and SOS Children-s Village. The consortium with funds from ECHO support 5 hospitals, 14 health centres and one mobile team in south central Somalia, providing technical support, finances, resources and supplies. We also manage the nutrition and medical supplies for the BRCiS consortium. It is one of the lead agencies of CMAM in Somalia, implementing CMAM programmes and providing capacity support/advice to other CMAM initiatives. ACF is providing support and advice to the SHAs to strengthen nutrition surveillance through capacity support on routine data collection, surveys and sentinel surveillance. ACF leads the Assessment Information Management Group for nutrition cluster and Bakool region subnational health cluster. Moreover, ACF has been involved in strengthening information management systems through regular district based survey that enriches the IPC analysis in areas where FSNAU has been able to conduct their bi-annual assessment. ACF is also part of the SomRep and BRCiS (2) Consortium for resilience, (Sep 2018-March 2022). The ACF Somalia programme is supported by the Horn and East Africa Regional Office in Nairobi and global technical, programme and management teams in 6 HQs.
