Description: United Nations Office at Nairobi (hereinafter referred to as UNON) on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme's Office in Somalia (hereinafter referred to as UN-HABITAT) anticipates to engage the services of a contractor to undertake the construction of a 7Km Feeder Road to the new Sanitary Landfill site in Berbera, Somaliland (East Africa).BACKGROUND UN Habitat is implementing the Berbera Urban Development Project (BUDP in Berbera Somaliland, with the collaboration of the Berbera Municipality Authority, to improve waste management and harness the circular economy in Berbera City. The BUDP focuses on sustainable and economically gainful waste management, employment creation, minimized waste generation, innovative and appropriate use of existing resources, reuse of materials, and awareness raising on the concepts of well-managed growth through a more circular approach to economic development.
